I am still blown away by the number of moms that are coming up to me letting me know they like reading my blog. You never know when you write something, say something or do something how it’s going to be perceived. Every day when I sit down to write something for the blog I wonder does anyone really care what I say? I wonder if I should even post it to my Facebook page because I think the consciences is OMG not another one… But I have to say I am so happy by the moms that have taken to it and to the ones that aren’t reading it that’s ok too as long as you can put up with me posting that another blog is out.
What has been the best thing since I started writing the blog is the moms that are coming up to me letting me know that something I wrote touched them or you could relate. That’s all I am trying to do. I had a mom come up to me just yesterday saying how proud she was of me going outside my comfort zone and how she wished she could. I told her that she just has to jump and it’s not as bad as you think it’s going to be. I told her when I sent the first blog out I was a nervous wreck and a week later I have over 300 people reading my site! I thought maybe 10 people at the most. And it was the same with the podcast. When Rebecca and I sat down to do it we had no idea how it was going to turn out and so many moms got back to me letting me know they could relate.
The point of both the blog and podcast is to REALLY share what we go through as moms. I am hoping soon that I can have some other moms looking to step outside their comfort zone and write on my blog from their perspective. I have mom’s that are married, single, separated, dating, newlyweds – with only children, twins, multiple kids, kids with special needs, kids that are hard heading and the list goes on and on and on. I want moms to feel comfortable just being themselves first and everything else second. This blog and podcast is about fun and getting through your day. As moms we are just trying to survive the best way we know how. I want everyone to have a voice and not be afraid to use it. I hope you continue to read my blog and stay on this journey with me.
